Maternity Sessions
Let's create some beautiful art together
Welcome
Thank you for being here
First of all, thank you. I appreciate your interest in my maternity photography services. I am here to guide you through this process to make it as effortless and enjoyable as possible.
Photography is my passion, and my purpose is to use it to make you feel like the absolute best version of yourself. You deserve to celebrate this miraculous time in your life.
Maternity sessions are best photographed when you are between 27–34 weeks pregnant. Session dates are limited, so we suggest booking months in advance so you do not miss out.
How It Works
Here's how we can work together
01/
Planning Your Session
Everyone has a different vision for their photoshoot — my job is to listen and tailor your session to your dreams and comfort level. Your session includes a zoom or phone consultation where we discuss details such as backdrops and wardrobe. I also suggest sending inspirational photos to help visually represent your vision for your session.
In addition, you will receive a session guide to help you prepare your session.
02/
The Photoshoot
For many of my clients, this is their first time in front of the camera. Do not worry if you are not experienced at posing — my job is to guide you and make you feel comfortable. All you have to do is follow my directions.
Once you arrive, my hair & makeup artist will take care of you and stay through the shoot for touchups. Hair and makeup take about 2 hours, while the shoot itself runs 2-3 hours. Most clients choose 3-5 looks for their session.
03/
Selecting Your Images
Your Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment
Approximately one to two weeks after your session, we’ll meet for your personalized image reveal and ordering appointment, either in-studio or via Zoom.
During this call you will see your beautifully edited portraits for the very first time. Together, we’ll review your gallery, select your favourite images, and discuss the best ways to display and preserve them.
Whether you’re looking for stunning wall art, matted prints, or heirloom keepsakes, I’ll guide you through the options and help you choose artwork that complements your home and allows you to enjoy your images every day.
04/
Receiving Your Images
Artwork Delivery
Approximately two weeks after your selections are finalized, your portraits will be ready for delivery. Your carefully retouched images and custom artwork will arrive beautifully prepared and ready to be enjoyed.
This is the moment when your portraits transition from photographs into cherished heirlooms. Whether displayed as statement artwork in your home, treasured in a keepsake box, or shared with loved ones, these images serve as a lasting reminder of this extraordinary chapter in your family’s story. Long after the newborn days and baby kicks have passed, your portraits will preserve these memories for generations to come.
Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Didn’t find the answer? Email me at [email protected]
Where is your studio located?+
My studio is conveniently located in Port Credit, Mississauga.
Do you have a maternity wardrobe?+
Yes! My wardrobe is equipped with a collection of blazers, bodysuits, tops, pants, and accessories, plus a variety of fabrics for draping and gorgeous gowns. I will work with you at your consultation to put together custom looks based on your preferences. No ideas? Don’t worry, I have lots!
When should I book?+
I recommend having your photos taken between 28–34 weeks of pregnancy, leaning earlier rather than later, to ensure they are taken before any chance of early labour. Last-minute bookings are possible based on availability.
Do you offer unedited raw images?+
The studio does not deliver raw files. A raw file is not a finished or usable product — it needs to be edited and converted before it can be printed. Editing is also a core part of our creative process and reflects who we are as artists.
Do I have to be nude for my session?+
Absolutely not! The photoshoot is styled specific to your needs, and there are many ways to get creative while you are fully covered.
I don’t know how to pose.+
You are not expected to! I know you are not a professionally trained model. All I ask is that you relax, have fun, and follow my directions.
Can I bring my spouse?+
Of course! Your spouse is more than welcome to join.
